Miami Arts Studio's Broadcasting magnet teamed up with the Technology Production magnet to create several cohesive media packages. This is one of the many transitions created by tech students. This specific transition is based off of the material cityscape theme from the lower third that preceeded it.
Miami Arts Studio's Broadcasting magnet teamed up with the Technology Production magnet to create several cohesive media packages. This is one of the many pieces created by tech students, and one of nine developed by myself. I also used this lower third for Neighbors 4 Neighbors in a new segment titled "Neighbors in Action" and you can watch that Right Here.
With the opening of a new performing arts center at Miami Arts Studio, the students from MAS' tech production magnet were tasked with creating a show graphic that did something none had done before at any MAS show; that was: move. This animated graphic is simple, and presents the idea and essense of the Mamma Mia! Musical.
For the 2019 opening of Miami Arts Studio's Performing Arts Center (MAS PAC), I had to create an animation that would preceed the opening shows that will take place once the doors open. Here is my hand – on a green screen – interacting with visual elements on the screen.
This project started off with animating the background cogs in After Effects using keyframes and the rotational transform effect. Given the clock face and arms, I had to align the arms to the center of the face, and rotate them into the starting position of 12:00:00. The sweep arm then was rotated, to complete the entire one minute swing. The minute hand then had to progress a minute, and the hour hand also moves to where it would be after a minute on a real clock.
